TRAVEL BUCKET LIST !!

Take a look at my Travel Bucket List. Here’s a list of places you should never miss.

ADVENTURE TRAVEL

Bumla Pass, Tawang

Bum La Pass is a high mountain pass on the Himalaya mountain range in Arunachal Pradesh, near the Indo-China border. It is located at an elevation of 5,000m (16,500ft) above sea level. As a result of its steep elevation, it is snowbound for virtually the whole year and offers a stunning perspective of the Tibetan plateau. Many peaceful hamlets and gorgeous lakes line the way to the pass, making the drive memorable.

The location is a must-see, but only if you have a special permit from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Tawang District and then from the Indian army cantonment in Tawang.

The road is in disrepair and must be negotiated with extreme caution. Any barriers along the edge provide little more than a semblance of protection. To drive on mountain terrain, the vehicle’s driver must be an expert. Take water, snacks, biscuits, and chocolates, and if possible, a thermos of tea, as there is nothing available on the way to the summit.

THE BEST TIME TO VISIT

The best time to visit here is during the summer, and also when there is no chance of rain.

THE BEST WAYS TO REACH TAWANG

Tawang is a fascinating place in northeast India, located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a popular tourist destination. The question of how to get to Tawang is frequently asked, as travelers and vacationers are often puzzled by the various modes of transportation available to them.Tawang, in all its glory, is a paradise of mountain ridges, untouched greenery, and Buddhist divinity. The road from Guwahati to Tawang is probably the best way to get there, and it takes about 13 hours. We’ve brought you this page to tell you how to get to Tawang for a once-in-a-lifetime vacation.

BY AIR

BY AIR

If you want to fly to Tawang, there is no airport close to the town. The Salonibari Airport in Tezpur is the closest domestic airport to Tawang, and it takes about six hours to drive there. Tezpur’s airport is well-connected to most other cities in India, including Kolkata, Guwahati, New Delhi, Bangalore, and others. However, the majority of these flights make a stopover at Guwahati Airport. You can also get off at Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, which is about 480 kilometers from Tawang. The Guwahati airport is a busy one, and most visitors to the northeast fly into Guwahati before continuing on.

BY RAILWAY

There is no major railway station in the vicinity of Tawang, so you would have to travel to a nearby railway station. Then you can either take a taxi or a bus to Tawang. You can reach the Guwahati railway station from anywhere in the country and then travel by road from Guwahati to Tawang. This is one of the best ways to get to Tawang. On the other hand, you can travel to Tezpur Railway Station and then drive to Tawang.

BY ROAD

Most of the northeast states can be reached by road, so getting to Tawang from anywhere should be no problem. You can take a road trip from Guwahati to Tawang and enjoy the beauty of the countryside, which is a far cry from the regular city roads and mind-boggling traffic. Guwahati to Tawang takes nearly 14 hours, while Shillong to Tawang takes about 15 hours.
